Dinosaur parties are one of the most popular birthday themes in the UK. Whether your child is obsessed with T-Rex, Brachiosaurus, or the whole Cretaceous period, a dinosaur party offers endless creative possibilities: fossil dig activities, roar competitions, Jurassic jungle decorations, and epic dino-shaped cakes. Connect with local makers who can build the Jurassic world your child has been dreaming of.

Key decorations include jungle greenery (palm leaves, ferns), dinosaur figurines as centrepieces, prehistoric volcano balloons, and skeleton fossil prints. Green and brown palettes work brilliantly.
Fossil digs (hide toys in a sand tray), dino egg hunts, pin the tail on the T-Rex, dinosaur egg-and-spoon races, and dino colouring stations all go down brilliantly.
Dino nuggets are a must. Add 'dinosaur eggs' (melon balls), 'pterodactyl wings' (chicken wings), 'fossil' Rice Krispie treats, and a centrepiece dinosaur egg cake.
Both! While historically associated with boys, dinosaur parties are hugely popular with girls too — especially with bright colour palettes.
